Inditex’s budget fashion and lifestyle brand Lefties, a sister brand of Zara and a competitor of Primark, has confirmed it will be opening its first UK store at the Liverpool ONE shopping centre at the end of August 2026.
That will be followed by a second UK store at the Lakeside shopping centre in West Thurrock, Essex, in early October, and a third at Gateshead’s Metrocentre in November.
Lefties was founded in 1999 and launched its own-brand collections over a decade ago. It has its own headquarters just outside Barcelona, including commercial and design teams, who “aim to bring accessible quality fashion to its customers”.
The new Lefties store at the Metrocentre will occupy a central unit at the interchange between Red and Green Mall on Town Square, directly above H Beauty. It will serve as “a key anchor” within Metrocentre’s dedicated fashion offer.
Each new Lefties store will utilise technology already used at the retailer’s latest European branches, which includes robots to sort hangers and radio frequency identification self-checkouts in its minimalist stores.
Lefties currently operates a total of 215 stores across 19 markets, with the UK set to become its 20th.
