Klitschko noted that Ukraine remains firm in their sovereignty and right to protect all aspects of their land, yet finding peace may require making difficult compromises in order to reach peace agreements.
Klitschko noted to the BBC: “To achieve peace and save lives, sometimes painful decisions must be taken temporarily in order to gain peace. This does not equate to giving up our country; rather it requires being realistic about the price paid daily — in human lives and suffering.”
